BRING BACK THE LIGHT! Handsworth Park Lantern Parade
SAT 7th March 6-8pm (Parade starts at 6.30)
Come and help celebrate the changing of the seasons in Handsworth Park
A FREE community event marking the changing of seasons as the days lengthen and Spring approaches. The lighting of lanterns will represent the anticipated return of warmth and sunlight over the coming months.
Lantern Parade, Projections, UV installation, Hot drinks & singing by the Perry Bar District Community Choir (including Handsworth Community Choir).
6pm Meet at The Sons of Rest Building behind the Handsworth Leisure Centre on Holly Road B20 2BY
At 6.30pm The lantern parade will proceed from here, down towards the small grove of trees near to the park bandstand
People are welcome to bring along instruments, hand drums etc to accompany the procession
