SIMMER DOWN FESTIVAL 2015
Free family fun day, music and arts

Firmly rooted in Handsworth, Simmer Down is a totally free family fun-day festival which celebrates Birmingham’s rich cultural diversity by paying tribute to the centrality of reggae and other musical genres that make it such a city of culture. This is to be an eclectic programme, which this year is headlined by the international reggae superstar Maxi Priest.
There will be a wide range of live performances and arts participation activities taking place across several stages and marquees. In addition there are increasing number of fun activities for all the family including arts and education workshops, face paintings, small rides, as well as, food stalls offering a diverse range of cuisine from all reflecting Birmingham’s culinary offer.
