VOTE FOR HANDSWORTH HELPING HANDS

The Galaxy Hot Chocolate Fund 2014 is looking to help small, local community groups and charities across the UK and Ireland by donating cash awards to support warm hearted people and projects. Open for entries until 23^rd February 2015, the Fund will distribute five £300 awards to deserving recipients every week.

Handsworth Helping Hands is a voluntary group committed to improving the quality of life in Handsworth. This may be by carrying out environmental work such as street clean-ups, clearing and planting public spaces, or by helping residents with jobs they can’t or don’t have the means to do for themselves. It relies mainly on grants and donations to cover the cost of insurance, purchase of tools and running the group’s van.

The awards are weekly and you can visit every week until the fund ends.
